I usually have to resist the urge to offer “pumpkin spice” sooner, despite what the intercontinental mega coffee corporations might suggest; and since when did we let them run the calendar, anyway? This is what I think is a sophiscated take on what the some might consider a “basic” seasonal flavor, and unlike the cereals, the coffee creamesr, the candles and the hand soap, my Pumpkin Spice confection actually also contains real pumpkin! And that gives these cookies a delightfully almost cakey texture; soft, a bit puffy, warmly spiced, punctuated with silky morsels of dark chocolate for those that agree almost every good cookie can be made great with the addition of quality chocolate. I literally have customers that wait all year for these and buy enough to enjoy for months t come. Get them while you can!
