Is it the dark mornings or the persistent insult of that beeping alarm clock in the morning which comes perceptibly sooner since the time change last weekend? Whatever the reason, everyone needs a post-lunch, mid-afternoon pick-me-ip; entite deserts have been designed and named for this exact thing, and while tiramisu has its place, my contribution comes in the form of an Espresso Dark Chocolate Chunk cookie. Coffee forward, with bold and sophisticated flavors of deeply roasted espresso beans and dark Belgian chocolate subtly and artfully rounded by Maldon sea salt . So good, these might even make you look forward to 3pm!
